Action Figure Comic Con proudly welcomes a diverse group of press, podcasters, photographers, and videographers who help document and amplify the AFCC experience. From toy photography and cosplay coverage to interviews, reels, and live reporting — our media team plays a vital role in telling the story of the community.
AFCC — Cinematic Coverage Division
Award-winning Toronto-based filmmaker Ross “RRouge” Lai II is the creative force behind AFCC’s video documentation and visual storytelling. A multidisciplinary director, writer, producer, photographer, and editor, Ross brings cinematic depth and narrative precision to everything he touches.
Known for his work across film, documentary, music video, and experimental storytelling — and for collaborations with global brands and artists — Ross’ approach blends realism, emotion, and striking visuals. His acclaimed documentary Mothers Of earned Best Documentary Director at SIMA 2020 and screened internationally.
At AFCC, Ross and his team will be capturing the energy, the people, and the moments that make this community special — turning the event into a living archive of culture, creativity, and connection.
